Movement towards interprofessional patient-centred collaborative care requires development of interprofessional knowledge, attitudes and skills in health professionals, both at the pre-licensure and practice levels, providing impetus for the requisite cultural shift.

Creating environments to support this shift will occur through problem-based learning modules that support both self-direction and learner-centredness provoking discussion and reflection throughout the learning process.
